Hey Terri!
Thanks so much for taking the time to apply and to check in with us. With each application, we review internally and our partners also give a thorough review. If enough of the partners refuse to take on a site, we feel it wouldn’t be fair for us to lock you into a contract when we know we wouldn’t be able to earn well for you.
When one post is getting the majority of the traffic or if there is a big spike, that is something that could be a red flag for a partner, since they prefer to see more consistency in traffic. Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing if that is why the partners refused to take on your site. I’m sorry we don’t have more information for you, but you are always welcome to reapply in the future. Typically we recommend you wait at least three months.

Unfortunately, they do not give us any explanation for denials at all, so we can’t provide more insight.”
How do I know what I need to improve on before I apply again? I have NO idea what the reason is? That gives me absolutely nothing to go on. My only thought is that I have a lot of holiday traffic and one particular post is getting most of the traffic. Could this be the reason? I’d love some more suggestions as to when I should apply again. Thanks!

Hey Igor,

We can and do take sites in other languages. It’s just important to note that any audience that isn’t primarily English-speaking will monetize at a different rate from a website that is.

Our site is in Portuguese and most of its traffic comes from Brazil. We seem to meet other stated requirements.

Thanks in advance!

Hey WF! Our application team and advertising partners look at a number of items, and bounce rate is just one of them. Depending on your niche and where your traffic comes from, bounce rate can be high. For example, a food site with lots of Pinterest traffic may have a higher bounce rate because of the way those users act: they go to the post, then leave shortly after. We always welcome re-applications, and if you have questions our team is always on hand to help. Just shoot us an email at publishers@mediavine.com!

My site was recently rejected by Mediavine and I was not given any reason. I would like to reapply now.
What’s the ideal bounce rate that you are looking for? Mine is 89%. Is it too much?

Hey John,
We auto-insert the ad placements, but we give you all sorts of tools to customize the frequency and even offer ways to block them from certain posts or sections of your site. We’re very committed to you finding the right balance for your site.
