\u201cunprecedented\u201d infinite times, and a political season to match 2020\u2019s craziness, November is here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re smack in the middle of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediavine.com\/what-is-q4\/\">Q4<\/a>, when a quick glance at our publisher <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediavine.com\/mediavine-dashboard-health-check-updates-go-for-teal\/\">Dashboards<\/a> each morning can cause one to break into a holiday song:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s the most wonderful time of the yearrrrrrr!\u201d Just take a look at this actual archival footage of a <a ever-increasing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediavine.com\/cpms-ecpms\/\">CPMs<\/a>. We sure hope so, but there\u2019s no guarantee (see upcoming disclaimer).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s get to the numbers. We took a look back at 2019, by site category, to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediavine.com\/rpm-optimization-something-work-myth-magic-button\/\">analyze RPMs<\/a> week over week from the beginning through the end of the fourth quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We uncovered some interesting Q4 trends. People are looking for new recipes for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediavine.com\/how-to-capitalize-on-holidays-as-a-content-creator\/\">holidays<\/a>, and advertisers want to be a part of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even after the tryptophan hangover wears off, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediavine.com\/rpm-challenge-2020-update\/\">RPMs<\/a> stay high before taking a slight dip at the beginning of December due to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediavine.com\/ad-revenue-seasons\/\">start of a new month<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediavine.com\/how-do-i-improve-my-rpm\/\">RPMs<\/a> then remain on the high side right through the end of the year, before taking a sharp downturn in the last week of December after Christmas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At that point, even though it\u2019s technically still Q4, advertising budgets are exhausted and consumers are less likely to be shopping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-health-fitness\">Health &amp;
