YES!\n\nBut then, come January 1, it\u2019s not uncommon for that spend to be scaled back. That RPM drop can be really big, especially when you compare it to the magically <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediavine.com\/what-is-q4\/\">high RPMs of Q4<\/a>.\n\nJanuary\u2019s drop is much larger because advertisers are making their plans for the new month, quarter and year as a whole.\n\nAs a blogger myself, I can tell you that January hurts. But you CAN make it hurt less. How? Adjust the formatting of your top posts.<\/h4>\nThe way you format your articles can have an impact on how your ads perform, too.\n\nShort sentences and succinct <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediavine.com\/shorter-sentences-and-paragraphs-for-larger-rpms\/\">web-friendly paragraphs<\/a><\/span>\u00a0are the way to go, because more line breaks help with in-content ad placement, which helps to increase RPM. It\u2019s also great for user experience on mobile.\n\nBreaking up paragraphs with <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediavine.com\/improve-rpm-and-seo-with-headings\/\">headings<\/a><\/span>\u00a0is not only helpful for your reader, but it\u2019s great for SEO. <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">And<\/span>\u00a0it makes your blog posts even longer. (See point #2 above.)\n\nLastly, make sure you are putting the \u201cfocus\u201d of your post at the end. This could be a recipe or how-to card like <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediavine.com\/mediavine-create\/\">Create by Mediavine<\/a><\/span><sup>\u00ae<\/sup>, a video or printable. Whatever it is that readers will want to know when they arrive at your post.\n\nWhen you place your <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediavine.com\/optimizing-your-most-valuable-content\/\">most valuable content<\/a><\/span>\u00a0at the end of a post, it encourages readers to scroll all the way to the end, past all of your ad placements. Readers don\u2019t like slow sites.\n\nIn fact, they\u2019re more likely to click away from a site if it takes too long to load. And if a reader doesn\u2019t stick with your article for very long?
